No, I do not recommend this product.
This is a review of SMARTECH's Portable Power Station Model JSL-1250.
          Let's cut to the chase.
Five factors resulted in my poor rating and my "do not buy" recommendation: [1] it's a lead-acid battery and not lithium; [2] the jumper cables should be of heavier gauge so that they could be longer; [3] the air compressor is mickey mouse; [4] it's complicated to operate its [too] many features; and [5] the AC power in not pure sine wave.
I also have a concern with why the manufacturer found it necessary to include spare fuses.
Did I mention that the built-in LED "flashlight" was defective out-of-the-box? It did not work in the "low" position.
          Pros: Lots of Features
Cons: Difficult to Use, defective out-of-the-box, limited use

This is a review of Milwaukee's 60' Fish Stick Combo Kit #48-22-4156.
There are 12 5' sticks in all: [7] "low flex"; [3] "mid flex"; and [2] "high flex".
Per length, the "flex" of each section is as follows: a single "high flex" section will dip about 18" from horizontal; a "mid flex", 12"; and a "low flex", 6". The degree of flex is arrived at by the diameter of the section ["high flex" being about 1/4" in diameter and ""low flex" slightly less than 3/8"].
There are six tips:bullet nose, hook, whisk, magnet, chain, and lighted [a bulb which can lead any of the other tips!].

In almost all applications, you're going to find that this set will replace the cumbersome metal snake because of its versatility and portability. It certainly excels when running electrical cable in or across joist bays, down insulated stud bays [and through plates].
The only concern I might have is the grip the knurled metal terminations have on the rods ... I know I can lift a 100-lb load vertically with a metal snake but I doubt I'd be able to do this with these sticks [I'm not even going to try].
As for luminescence, I left mine out in daylight for a day to "fully charge" them ... and then I took the attached photo. [The charge lasted at least 24 hours.] Since there were no instructions included, they'll be a lot of "live and learn" on this aspect. Read Less

This is a review of Milwaukee's Shockwave Impact Right Angle Adapter #48-32-2390. A P2 bit comes included [the bit holder is magnetized].
This adapter is designed to be driven with a hex-drive drill; more specifically, it's 'optimized' to take the abuse an impact driver can deliver. How does it do that? Well, I'll assume it's like their "Shockwave" bits where those shafts are made from a material which absorbs the impact shock. Same here ... the 'drive shaft' must be engineered much the same way. The bottom line is ... don't expect much, if any, of the impact to transmit thru 1:1 right-angle 'gear box'.

In use, you'll need at least three inches of clearance above the fastener to use this adapter ... 2+ inches is how deep the adapter is with the shortest bit imaginable installed; and then you'll need at least another inch [three is better] for your hand to exert some downward force. As for "reach in", that'll be 8"-10" depending on the drill/driver's design.
In practical use, there will be only a few times when this adapter will be your only choice to get to that hard-to-reach screw, bolt, or nut.

          This is a review of General's LT2234C non-contact tachometer.
Lightweight, easy to hold. Enough reflective tape supplied to make 45 targets [but no description of what tape to buy when the initial supply has been exhausted].
Nowhere near as simple to use as I had hoped. In fact, when I read the following in the manual, I thought maybe I'll never use it: "position the instrument so its main axis is aligned with the end of the shaft."
That seems to disqualify the device for most of what I had planned:checking the blade rpm on my tablesaw; the bandwheels and blade on my bandsaw, the spinder speed on my spindle sander; the chuck speed on my drill press; and, most importantly, the bit Read More

None of this can be done after reading the instructions.
The common man will be challenged by the Instructions on pp 8-11 for storing and recalling measurements [versus taking a measurement, which is a snap]. If you're like me, your comprehension will come only after an extensive [15-30 minute] 'trial and error' session. Read Less

          This is a review of ACOPOWER’s X50A 50L 12VDC Refrigerator/Freezer.
The unit is sturdily made. Feels solid. Looks somewhat sleek.
The non-resilient wheels make for a bumpy ride on almost any surface other than concrete.
A key feature not many users will use is the built-in charge controller for connecting solar panels [up to 500W]. Foregoing those solar panels, the unit can run three ways: [1] connected to 120VAC; [2] connected to 12VDC; or [3] from the battery.

For [1], you’re provided an AC-to-DC adapter; the adapter’s output is 87W [6A @ 14.5VDC]. The battery can be either docked in the unit or not when plugged in; if the 173Whr battery is docked while plugged into AC, it will charge simultaneously [the charging is limited to 12.6VDC @ 3A, or 40W]. Relying on the information in the Table on Page 9 of the manual [which contradicts the narrative above it], the unit consumes between 17 and 34 W [depending on temperature setpoint] to operate; by difference, 40W less 17 or 34W for operation, there’s between 6 and 23W available for concurrent charging. Note: the table on Page 7 contradicts this information!
For [2], a “cigarette lighter” cord is provided. But it might not be as simple as plugging it in a both ends. The narrative on Pages 8-10 is confusing at best. Depending on the output at that “cigarette lighter”, you may have to futz with error codes.
For [3], if you’re not supplying external power, the unit will power itself from the on-board battery. You could get as much as 10 hours of life from a full charge [say to keep four six packs cool at 45F]. More typically, it’ll be 3-5 hours trying to keep the frozen food frozen. You’ll need an optional AC/DC charge controller if you plan on charging batteries undocked!
[In general, I found the “User Manual” to be not well written. It lacks clarity in many instances and omits ‘nice-to-information’.]
          As for features …
Because the lid is not full-width, the entire 50 qt capacity is not easy to access.
The storage area is lit be a marginally acceptable LED.
It's quiet ... no trouble sleeping in the same room.
How well does it control temperature? Well, when set to 36F and holding three six packs, I’ve been seeing the display ready 34-38F, so let’s say +/- 2F, not too bad. To check if that temperature readout is accurate, I placed a scientific digital thermocouple inside … I was surprised when it agreed with the display to within a degree! And, operating in 80F ambient out of direct sunlight, the unit maintains that temperature by cycling for about two minutes every five minutes.
          Other observations …
With no circulating dry air, condensation forms readily.
You’re directed not to tilt the unit to 45 deg and beyond while transporting … a nearly impossible task when using the telescoping handle/rollers unless you’re 7 feet tall. Yes, there are grips to carry the unit, but it’d be an awkward lift/carry and definitely not something you’d want to do with anything inside or for a distance more than a couple yards.
The lid’s supposed to be removable for easy cleaning. I encountered too much resistance and, not wanting to be stuck with a poor-fitting lid, decided no to force the issue.
Bottom line … I like the unit. Competitively-priced. I’d like to see it last long but my experience with these types of appliances is that they don’t. With their skimpy warranty, I suspect ACOPOWER feels the same. Read Less

My plan is to bury this cable in Sch 40 PVC conduit the whole way [from the house's crawl space up to the weather-proof box. Is there a better way to go? I'd prefer to use 4/3 w G UF Cu but I'm not sure if everything bigger than #6 cable switches to Al? also, do I need to use an antioxidant at connections?

Even with a 1,260 cfm [3HP] Jet vacuum system attached via 4" duct, I get little to no dust collection. It's the biggest source of dust in my shop ... which includes two planers [13 and 20"], 22" belt sander, 12" jointer, 12" table saw, 14" bandsaw, and other tools.

Spring project is to build a booth [which is what I see in other shops].

          Answer:
My experience has been: if the instructions don't explicitly say you can leave it plugged in, i.e. the built-in charging goes into 'maintain mode', then don't leave it plugged in.
But doesn't that defeat the purpose of having a "grab 'n go" jump starter?
I did call the 888.288.5148 to ask and the [not too sure] rep said, "yeah you want to unplug it when it reaches 100%."
          Bummer.

          Answer:
          The battery's capacity is 18AH [amp-hrs].
If you could draw 100% of that power out through the 12V plugs, that would be 216 watt-hrs.
Divide that by the power your appliance needs and you get maximum duration.
E.g. [shown on pg 9 of the User's Manual] My electric cooler needs 48 watts @ 12 V to run. After 4.5 hours the battery in this power pack will be dead dead.

          Answer:
Mechanically, I've had a 'no load' at 1760 rpm.
In practical use, I can't see drilling much above that and, when securing a fastener, it will be well below 200 rpm.
