The 7/16 in. x 1-3/8 in. Pine Stop is a narrow strip of wood that is typically installed on the head and side jambs of doors and windows. Its purpose it to restrict the movement of doors and windows. The profile has a rounded edge to maintain a seamless and modern appearance. The full range of uses for this moulding are limitless in crafts and home projects.

Like many wood products, molding can be a tricky item. I'm doing a large interior remodel on a vacant home and a bedroom door was lacking most of the molding where the door meets up to it. What remained used this profile so I purchased what I needed to refinish the doorway.
The profile is a perfect match and the molding has been installed. However, I failed to do a thorough inspection of the piece before I purchased it and after installing, discovered it has a very noticeable warp.
While some molding products can be adjusted slightly during installation, this wasn't possible on a piece like this without possible cracking or breaking it. I must remember to always check for war-page Read More

GearWrench introduced the original patented 5 ratcheting wrench in 1996 and quickly became a go-to brand for professional automotive technicians. The innovation didn't stop there. Year after year, the GearWrench brand continues to expand its line-in ratcheting tools and beyond-to help automotive and industrial technicians get their jobs done faster and easier. Having the right tool for the job is critical and technicians working in cramped spaces understand better than anyone the power of this simple statement. This wide range is the backbone that gives GearWrench its reputation for unprecedented speed, strength and access. The result is increased productivity for those who keep GearWrench tools in their box.

A beautiful fan is the only way to describe this. Of course this is if it fits your decor. Quality is another good word to describe it.
I've installed a lot of ceiling fans over the years and each brand has had it's challenges. No exceptions here but this is mainly since the assembly of this is quite different than any of the others I've installed except 1 other.
This is actually my 2nd consecutive install of this particular type of ceiling fan. It's made for indoor or outdoor use. Some might wonder about outdoor use but I assure you an outdoor fan has it's place. The other fan was installed over a deck and suspended from the upper deck. This is actually my 2nd consecutive install of this particular type of ceiling fan. It's made for indoor or outdoor use. Some might wonder about outdoor use but I assure you an outdoor fan has it's place. The other fan was installed over a deck and suspended from the upper deck. Not only does it help keep one cool but it also helps to discourage bugs. A breeze makes it difficult for mosquitoes to fly in. And other flying insects just don't like the movement.
When choosing this type of fan, be sure of the color you want on the blades as they will only fit one way. As you may know, many types have 2 sided blades with each side having a different finish. Not so here. What I like about the blades is they are screwed directly to the fans armature. Other fans have brackets that attach to the armature and then the blades are screwed to those brackets. I feel having 2 screw connections allows for added potential of balance problems. This is my second install of this type and neither needed any balancing.
It is remote controlled with 3 speeds and a dim-able LED light fixture that keeps it's setting when turned off. So when you turn the light back on it's set to the last brightness it was set to when turned off. The dimming feature here is quite impressive as LED lights are inherently difficult to dim without some flicker. This works flawlessly and you can rely on the light lasting decades (no bulbs to change). The reverse switch is manual and located on the fans housing.
The only real bad part here is the assembly. The fan portion isn't much different than any other fan except the blade installation which is what I like the most about this fan. However, the light fixture and housing leaves a bit to be desired. The instructions were just a bit sketchy and I had a hard time locating a particular parts location. Also, I'm not very fond of light fixtures that have a glass cover held on with screws. The glass globe has a rubber strip to help protect the glass. But if not careful, a glass globe can be chipped or cracked when tightening the screws. It can also be dropped which would be a disaster. But again, no bulbs to ever have to change so once you have it installed the only thing you'll ever have to do is clean it. Read Less

I was an auto mechanic for more than 30 years before going into repairing heavy equipment for another 8 plus years. During those years, acquiring quite a cache of tools from big name companies and eventually retiring, much of my tool supply went into storage until I could get my work shop in order as I continued to do repairs for family and friends.

Sadly, some years ago a fire destroyed most of the tools left in storage. So as I go along and find items I need to replace, more and more I'm finding myself looking to Gear Wrench for replacements. Back when I was still in automotive, Gear Wrench was basically a start up who sold a very special wrench that nobody else could make. But every mechanic had to have them since they made many jobs so much easier.
But over the years, Gear Wrench has expanded to just about every corner of the tool market with top quality products and innovative ideas. These adaptors for your ratchets and impact sockets, used to be you might get a universal adaptor with your socket set. Impact adaptors were typically sold individually as were the adaptors to allow matching the different socket drives such as a reducer to use a 1/4 drive socket on a 3/8 drive ratchet.
This kit eliminates having to buy each item by incorporating them all into a single kit. This kit comes in a great plastic case and includes every option you could possibly need for adapting sockets or turning your sockets into swivels with universal joint adaptors. I could have saved quite a few dollars had this been available back when I was wrenching. This has been a great addition to my tool collection, replacing items lost in that fire. Read Less

          Hi Englishdavid.
You haven't actually asked a question but I have presumed by the dilemma you describe, you want to know if this heat gun will help remove excess paint. And in most areas, the answer is yes.
However, you need to be aware of a number of potentially serious issues in using a heat gun to remove paint. If you've done it before, are probably familiar with heat for paint removal. If you're not, it may be a good idea to practice it on a board outside before actually working it on a structure.
The problem with paint removal is, in most cases we have no idea what kind of paint is in the layers to be removed. Many will burn if the temperature reaches it's flash point. Oil paints tend to be more-so than latex though dried latex can also burn. Another concern is if the paint is older, could contain lead. Lead paint removal is always a hazardous endeavor. However, it's debatable which process is worse.
Melting or burning lead based paint will release toxins possibly worse than just sanding because the rising heat will disperse those gases more readily than sanding. When sanding, gravity kind of takes over and most will fall to the floor and can be vacuumed. It's still a hazardous job either way.
But let's assume lead ISN'T an issue. You'll want a variety of scraping tools for the job, particularly if you have moldings of various shapes. And always pull your scraping tools (not push) since pushing can cause you to run into wood fibers resulting in wood gouges and dry wall divots. You'll also want a sacrificial board to scrape the paint of your tools. For straight scrapers, a razor scraper can be a good friend. But a nice straight board edge is good too. For curved scrapers, disposable rags work well.
Heat the paint to a point where it just starts to bubble but not burn and quickly scrape it off. Don't expect to reach bare wood in every case as the wood will have soaked in some of the paint. Work large areas in each step as you'll likely still have to sand those areas. But it will be much easier to sand. You should keep on hand, a fire suppression device while using a heat gun, have a safe place ready to set down the heat gun after use as the nozzle will be very hot. And wear a breathing mask to avoid inhaling fumes and gloves that can be discarded. Hot blobs of paint can get on your hands and will burn skin like melted plastic. Since you say this is the exterior, should make this job much easier than interior. But you still have a job ahead that I don't envy. Just consider all safety precautions and you should be able to get this done in good time. Read Less

Like any oven, the door will get hot during baking and obviously as the oven temperature is raised so too will the doors heat increase.
However, I can tell you after 2 years of using this very stove, the door has never been so hot I couldn't touch it. It is very well insulated, enough so that I can hold my hand against it without being uncomfortable.

          Answer:
This doesn't come with a griddle because just about every pan manufacturer makes a griddle. Because the cooking surface is flat, it can accommodate any size or shape of griddle you may have or want. If the stove was built to accommodate a griddle made only for this stove, then you would be stuck with only that griddle. Should that griddle wear out or become damaged, then you would have to order a new one Read More

But before I committed to anything, I would measure the handles mounting bolts, center to center, left to right or right to left and compare it to the model you are considering to make sure the bolt pattern is the same.
Another method might be to get the model number of your unit and google for an illustrated parts guide. It will list part numbers (and any alternatives) and may well show you the bolt span in distance as well as screw size. Then do the same with the model you want to switch with.
Good Luck. Hope this was helpful. Read Less
