I'd like to talk about the new Milwaukee cordless pipe threader. It's not often I can talk about a product without mentioning a negative. This is one of those moments I can't find anything that isn't great about this tool. As you'll see from the video's, if you and/or your company, threads a lot of pipe, you're going to want this tool.
It isn't just faster but it's safer to use.

It isn't just faster but it's safer to use.
This is a member of the Milwaukee M-18 family of cordless tools. The kit includes everything (except dies) you'll need to perform a full days work while turning out more product faster and having fun doing it. The M-18 batteries are 12.0 AH. The set comes with 2 batteries and the quick charger. And because it uses the same threading dies as the Ridgid 700 series, you won't need to buy new dies. But unlike the Ridgid threader, this Milwaukee has a die lock to keep your dies firmly in the tool until your ready to change it. And the best thing about it is, you can cut the cord. No more extension cords (trip hazards) or looking for an outlet to plug into. Very important at job sites that may not have power yet.
Milwaukee put a lot of thought into this tool. For instance, typically to start a threader cutting pipe, one needs to nudge it by pressing against the die. This can present a hazard since most pipe fitters want to wear gloves doing this job. And a glove could become snagged in the die. The Milwaukee saw this and built a palm rest into the casting in order to nudge it into the pipe while keeping your glove free of the rotating cutter head.
The kit also includes a tool rest which can be clamped to the pipe to allow the threaders handle to rest against a cam eliminating the need to muscle against the torque. Very handy for beating fatigue.
The working weight including battery and die is within 1 lb of the other corded tool so weight isn't an issue.
Finally, like all the M-18 battery operated Milwaukee power tools, it uses the One Key locator system. If you're unfamiliar with One Key, it enables you to track your Milwaukee power tools through a phone app.
I cannot say enough about this tool so I'm going to leave it here and provide some photos and video's for you. Once you've seen them, your going to want to upgrade or add this to your tool box for added productivity and extra safety. Read Less
Pros: Good Instructions, Reliable, fast, uses existing model 700 dies, locking die holder, sealed bearings never need grease, uses auto stop in case of binding, 2 speeds also variable, faster than competition, handy tool rest eliminates hand fatigue.

SharkBite ProLock fittings are a versatile and innovative full-flow plumbing system utilizing push lock fitting technology and engineered specifically for use with SharkBite PE-RT and PEX pipe. The SharkBite 3/4 in. Push-to-Connect x FIP Adapter intuitive design makes for one of the simplest and most dependable fittings on the market. No tools are required to make a connection. They use a collet with stainless steel teeth that grips the pipe when fully inserted, and an EPDM O-Ring to provide a permanent, leak-proof seal. The Twist-to-lock technology ensures maximum security. When twisted into place with indicator arrows aligned, the locking cap locks the pipe in place and creates an audible click. Removing a SharkBite fitting is just as easy with no tools needed; simply twist the cap turn counterclockwise to unlock then depress collet against the fitting to remove the pipe. ProLock fittings are suitable for hot and cold potable water and hydronic heating applications. They have been specifically designed for the Professional Plumber. Code approved for behind-the-wall installations. 25-year SharkBite System warranty when used with SharkBite PE-RT & PEX pipe. Color: Black.

In the event you've got a threaded pipe termination but want to transition from that point without removing the threaded termination, simply pick up this Sharkbite FIP adapter.
Available in most sizes and as reduction or expansion adapters, simply thread it to the termination point and push and lock your new pipe extension into place.
This can transition from galvanized or copper pipe threads of standard sizes allowing you to continue your pipe expansion in any pipe material you like such as copper, PEX or PVC. Once threaded to your termination pipe, insert your new pipe, twist and click. The job is done.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Install, Easy to Use, High Quality, Looks Great, Lots of Features, Nice Design, Sturdy, works with any pipe

D-EBOOST by TALLAS is a self-priming jet booster set with a pressure and flow sensors designed to increase the water pressure from wells (up to 26 ft), tanks or cisterns. D-EBOOST integrates a check valve and the pre-filter. Inside the box there is the exclusive multi-purpose tool for maintenance. D-EBOOST is ready to use, just connect it to the suction and discharge water pipes and to the power outlet. Prime the pump body with water the first time then just follow the simple instructions included in the box). For ease of installation, the delivery and suction connectors can be rotated to suite different installations. The D-EBOOST motor is cooled by the pumped liquid, so the pump is quieter than ordinary JET pumps with a cooling fan. the D-EBOOST has an adjustable pressure sensor and dry run protection.

For homeowners who have wells that require a "shallow well pump", this is a product to consider. Pumps for shallow wells can be located in difficult areas of a home ranging from a crawl space, basement or even first floor laundry as mine was.
Having wanted to relocate my pump to an area in the crawl space, my current pump was aging, loud and simply taking up valuable space.
I opted for the Tallas Electronic pump for several reasons. It is much quieter as claimed. But one problem seldom considered is adjusting the water pressure. Having wanted to relocate my pump to an area in the crawl space, my current pump was aging, loud and simply taking up valuable space.
I opted for the Tallas Electronic pump for several reasons. It is much quieter as claimed. But one problem seldom considered is adjusting the water pressure. Traditional pumps control pressure by whats called a "cut in/cut out" switch. It's controlled by springs inside a magneto switch that needs adjusting periodically in order to control a comfortable water pressure as well as tell the pump when to turn on or off. Making adjustments can be a hazardous adventure as it must be performed with the cover off the electrical switch box to access the adjustment screws.
That will never be the case with the Tallas electronic pump because you adjust the on/off and water pressure by way of a push button panel that is complete with LED lights so you can see where the pressure is set to.
The pump/motor assembly runs much quieter than convention well pumps. And it has a built in, cleanable filter as well as a sight bowl where you can see the pump is working and the water is moving.

A perfect cable for my project. I needed to suspend an overhead wire for temporary purposes. I began at the store pricing cable by the foot. Having calculated how much I would need (22 feet), I quickly concluded buying this was a far better value since this package had 30 feet and all the hardware I could possible in order to complete my project. Upon return home, that project took me less than 30 minutes to complete while I was expecting, had I purchased by the foot, would have likely taken well over an hour and at least an extra $10.00

So far the tap feature has been flawless for letting out fresh line. I've found when using it on slightly rough terrain it's sometimes self maintaining. I must say the line feed and refill method of this trimmer are the easiest and most convenient of all the trimmers I've used. No more taking the reel apart, winding new line and trying to put it back together without the line unraveling. Simply cut a section of bulk line (roughly 2 feet) line up the arrows on the reel and head, push the line in one hole and out the other until it's about even at both sides, then using the crank tool, wind it by hand until there's about 6 inches remaining on both sides and you're ready to go. When you need to let out more line a slight tap at medium speed and it feeds about an inch. Need more? Just tap again. The key to reliable line feed is to always clean the reel before stowing the tool. I give the head a quick spray with the garden hose, let it dry and put it away, ready for the next time. have you experienced the trimmer shutting off in mid use with plenty of battery left? Is it because it is too hot? when i use more than 1 4ah batt the unit will shut off mid battery. It will come back on if i wait 5 or 10 seconds, then shut back off within 10-30 seconds. I haven't been able to isolate if this is a batt issue or a trimmer issue. i will keep trying and taking notes about the batts to see if that is the problem.

          Answer:
The unit will shut off after long periods of use or when the battery begins to wain. Mine did shut off once though the battery showed about 90% but I suspect the gauge on that battery is incorrect. It has shut down a couple times after very long periods of use. Likely the motor was nearing over heating. If I've changed the battery and it shuts down again, I find if I do something else for about 15 Read More

          Answer:
I do not have any more vibration from my Ryobi than I've gotten from any other brand (I've used at least 6 other brands). In fact I find this unit causes far less fatigue than any other brand I've used. Excessive vibration could be a balance problem especially if you've restrung the spool. A good tip when restringing is to be sure it's wound from the center of the new string. Also, keep in mind, by Read More

Also, keep in mind, by nature all string trimmers will transmit some degree of vibration up your arm by their very nature. But I've been quite satisfied with mine. Read Less
