We're new to the Halloween yard decorations craze. Jumping in with both feet this year, we got this Jack Skellington inflatable.
          He's really quite cute.
He operates on a low voltage fan and 2 internal LED's illuminate the inflatable. Though it uses a standard plug, comes with a power reduction pack (low voltage transformer) that attaches quite securely with a screw on connector.
Surprisingly it takes just a few seconds to inflate completely and the fan is contained within the base. The base is weighted with bean bags sewn into the fabric. It also comes with 4 ground spikes to keep him in place if it should be breezy.

We've never been particularly interested in These kinds of Halloween decorations in the past. But seems we're loading up on them this year.
This Angel of Death animated statue is a great piece. At 36 inches tall, it's very life like. It operates on 3 AA batteries which make the eyes light up, the mouth move and the arms move, all while it talks. I've included the You Tube video I made.
The batteries fit into a compartment on the back which also has a 3 position switch to have it run continuously, intermittently and off. The wings are a fine fabric and have adjustable wires inside.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Use, Good Size & Weight, Looks Great, Lots of Features, Nice Design, Sturdy, Stylish

The 3/4 in. x 1/2 in. SharkBite Push-to-Connect Reducing Ball Valve is the easiest way to install a new or replacement shut-off ball valve when transitioning from 3/4 in. pipe down to 1/2 in. The single lever control allows for easy operation and the valve is perfect for potable water and hydronic applications where a shut-off is needed. SharkBite fittings allow you to join copper, CPVC or PEX pipe in any combination with no soldering, clamps, unions or glue. Just insert the pipe and the stainless steel teeth bite down and grip tight, while a specially formulated O-ring compresses to create a perfect seal. Disassembly is just as fast using the simple disconnect tool so fittings and valves can be easily changed and reused. They can even be rotated after assembly for easier installation in tight spaces. Get SharkBite and get a grip on your next plumbing project.

Another fine product from Shark Bite, this is an excellent option instead of soldering or clamping. Since it is a reducing valve, fits between 3/4 inch supply to a 1/2 inch branch.
I've always been a little leery of soldering ball valves as they can't be taken apart like ordinary shut offs. Though I've never had one fail due to the heat from soldering, I still like to avoid doing so. But with push to fit connections, that's a worry of the past.
And the best part is, these can be used with almost any kind of pipe as a transition (see photos). Since I first tried Shark Bite fittings several years ago, they've become my go to product for most of my repairs. They are completely reliable for

Excellent for most any of your ceiling light fixtures (not fans) during construction phase. I used them to install lights in my shed overhang which is adjacent to my driveway. We live in a dark area and I wanted more lighting particularly with the season changing.
I used them to install 2 LED surface mount lights. Installation was easy and these boxes can be connected with all standard hardware both 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch knockouts are present.
The finished products was exactly what I wanted.

SharkBite ProLock fittings are a versatile and innovative full-flow plumbing system utilizing push lock fitting technology and engineered specifically for use with SharkBite PE-RT and PEX pipe. The SharkBite 3/4 in. x 1/2 in. x 3/4 in. Push-to-Connect Reducing Tee intuitive design makes for one of the simplest and most dependable fittings on the market.  No tools are required to make a connection.  They use a collet with stainless steel teeth that grips the pipe when fully inserted, and an EPDM O-Ring to provide a permanent, leak-proof seal. The Twist-to-lock technology ensures maximum security.  When twisted into place with indicator arrows aligned, the locking cap locks the pipe in place and creates an audible click. Removing a SharkBite fitting is just as easy with no tools needed; simply twist the cap turn counterclockwise to unlock then depress collet against the fitting to remove the pipe. ProLock fittings are suitable for hot and cold potable water and hydronic heating applications. They have been specifically designed for the Professional Plumber. Code approved for behind-the-wall installations. 25-year SharkBite System warranty when used with SharkBite PE-RT & PEX pipe.

Another great innovative item from Shark Bite plumbing fittings.
This T is 3/4 inch inlet to 3/4 inch right angle and 1/2 inch straight out.
As with all Shark Bite fittings, are push to fit (no special tools needed and no soldering). Simply cut your pipe to length and push the fitting onto each pipe. These plastic fittings have an added feature over the Shark Bite brass fittings. They have a twist lock feature that makes an audible click when twisted and seated. And if necessary, can be removed and reused.
And with all Shark Bite fittings, transitioning between various kinds of pipe, such as from copper to PEC's, PVC or ALL, this fitting will connect to them all.

Grass seed can be sown anytime in spring, summer or fall keeping certain weather conditions in mind. In spring it's best to wait until your sure there is no danger of a hard frost. Grass seed is pretty resilient and can typically handle a mild frost. The problem arises when seed has been on the ground, wet, for a number of days and is ready to sprout. Should it freeze at just the right phase, will likely kill the seed. Your specific location can help you determine the best time to seed. I suggest you Google planting zones to determine what zone your location is in as these zones keep in consideration the chances of a killing frost (on average) is last likely to occur. No matter when you plant, check your extended forecast for rain and note how much is expected. You don't want to plant and have a super soak-er within a few days as your seed will wash out. When I plant, I like to be sure the soil is loose and then lightly rake it over with a fan rake. Nothing aggressive as you just want the soil to help hold the seed. Immediately water after you rake it, will help set the seed and guard against wind. Water well daily and if it's a warm sunny day may need to water several times. If you plant in the fall follow the same procedure as you would for spring. Grass seed can easily take 10 days or more to sprout and is most vulnerable after the first few days or so. Sprouted grass is vulnerable to any extended freezing as it will go dormant if exposed to freezing temperatures for more than a day or 2. Read Less

This should work just fine for over seeding and Scott's warranty provides for a good margin of security. Follow the instructions closely (on the bag). Most important is keeping the seed watered particularly on warm days that have lots of sun.

You need to know what planting zone your in. Check with a local horticulturist if your not sure of your zone. Typically you can plant whenever the danger of HARD frost is over. Grass seed can usually with stand a mild frost but wet seed and a hard frost are a bad combination.
