This is a nice, sturdy bookshelf. For the price I paid ($299) it is fabulous. I am finding that the two shelves that are adjustable are warping very slightly. Those which are fixed are nice and flat. The bookshelf is very attractive and I'm happy with my purchase.

For a stylish 5-shelf bookcase that fits into more narrow spaces, look no further than our Louis Philippe 24 in. W Bookcase. This tall, narrow bookcase looks great on a small focal wall or in a pair flanking a media center or fireplace. Elegant crown molding and scalloped feet give this tall bookcase enduring appeal. Color: Sequoia.

This is a piece of REAL WOOD furniture at a "fake wood" price. Really, a stunning bookshelf. It was a challenge to put together only because one person was doing it without help (balancing the sides to get the two fixed shelves in was a challenge), but after the basic frame was together it was easy. If you've got two people this is easy! The holes are drilled to fit and line up and all the hardware is there to get a sturdy bookshelf out of the deal. This will last decades. A nice touch is the anti-tip strap that comes with the bookshelf. Use it! You could save a life. This bookshelf is heavy fully loaded with books!

The components come packaged in extremely thick styrofoam, so no worries that, if the box gets a small ding, the shelf will be ruined. This is put-it-together-yourself-furniture done right!
My only complaint was the shipping. It was supposed to be delivered on November 29th (we got a confirmation call from the shipper the day before) and it didn't end up coming until early evening on Dec. 1st. I'm glad I didn't stay home from work to wait for it! Home Depot should look into the shipper's schedules. Read Less

          Answer:
In the specifications area. I don't know why they don't put them in the description, but they don't.

Since this is a very wide bookcase how thick are the shelves ? Will they have a tendency to sag with a full shelf of books ?

          Answer:
I haven't measured them, but the shelves are thick enough for a full shelf of books, and they look quite sturdy. One helpful thing is that they each have a "lip" underneath them on the front that will help stabilize them. This is a real piece of furniture, not your typical put-it-together-yourself "fake wood".
