No, I do not recommend this product.
          Negative issues with the gloves:
          1. The size is off by one size. I usually get by with Large. These gloves are XL, and still marginal in size.
          2. The fit around the fingers is tight. I don’t consider my hands fat, and know several people with hands much bigger than mine, but the fingers are too tight.
          3. I used the gloves when I pruned my lemon tree (for those who don’t know it, lemon trees have some sharp thorns). Anyway, the rubber underside of the gloves was basically worthless against the thorns.
          4. At the end of the job, my hands sweat a little (due to the rubber underside). With the gloves fitting so tight around the fingers, they were very difficult to remove. Kind of

Kind of reminded me of the “Chinese handcuffs” we had when we were kids. The harder you pull the tip of the glove’s fingers, the tighter then went.

Firm Grip ANSI A5 Cut resistant gloves provide serious industrial grade cut protection. The performance fitting and breathable knit shell delivers maximum dexterity with all-day comfort that provides grip in any condition. The high visibility color contrasts for low light safety and makes them easy to find in the toolbox or on the jobsite. Size: large. Color: Multi. Gender: unisex. Age Group: adult.

No, I do not recommend this product.
          Negative issues with the gloves:
          1. Gloves are at least one size too small. I got XL, where I normally use Large, and the XL is still tight.
          2. The rubber coating on the underside is kind of stiff. If you need to bend your fingers much, it will start to wear out your hands. I have another cut resistant glove used for wood carving. It is a woven fabric (the slip says it includes stainless steel fibers, but you can’t see them). Anyway, that style of glove is nice and flexible.
          3. The rubber undercoating also makes the gloves warmer.
An interesting note. I initially put the gloves on when I was in my shop, and my hands were warm. Today, I put them on again for the picture (after being Read More

An interesting note. I initially put the gloves on when I was in my shop, and my hands were warm. Today, I put them on again for the picture (after being inside A/C all day), and the tightness was acceptable. Not sure if it was the temperature, or if they stretched some. Still, for a lot of folks, they would still be very snug. Anyway, this was enough to raise my rating from one star to 3 stars. Read Less

Designed to lock securely into place with a simple pull of a cord, the Nite Ize CamJam is an easy, knot-free way to tighten, tension, and secure lighter loads of all kinds. Made of sturdy, durable plastic, it features a carabiner clip with a stainless steel gate on 1 end, and a rotating, ridged cam mechanism on the other. Simply anchor the carabiner to any hook, D-ring, or loop, and feed your cord through the cam until you've reached the desired level of tension. Pull firmly, and the cam locks into place and stays that way until you release it by rotating the cam. Easy to adjust and readjust, the CamJam is made to use and reuse hundreds of times, in hundreds of ways. Color: Black.

This is an interesting device. It’s very easy to tighten your strap. The picture on the display card shows it for tightening ropes on a tent. My main usage it tying down articles in the back of my pickup. The information on the card has no suggestion of the strength of these plastic hooks. The cord size is limited to 3/16” diameter, and I normally use ¼” rope. These hooks feel robust, but I’m not sure. I see Home Depot also sells units of the same design that are made of aluminum. If you are normally holding heavy loads, I’d recommend that.

The General Tools Rubber Strap Wrench is ideal for holding, tightening or loosening irregular shapes. It can be used to open or tighten jar lids, bottles, pipes or any other round or oblong object. This wrench features a locking mechanism that provides leverage on odd-shaped, hard-to-grasp objects. A tough, thin 3/4 in. wide strap is great for tight spaces. Unlike metal wrenches, the rubber strap doesn't damage surfaces. This wrench has a slip-resistant grip for ease of use.

Over the years, I’ve had three strap wrenches. The first had a major problem of requiring considerable rotation for the tool to finally tighten up. I guess about 90% of the usage was removing oil filters, and you normally are shy of space to turn the wrench. I threw that one away. My second one was an aluminum housing, and it was much better, but the design required you to pull the strap tight, and hold it while you started the rotation. One it “engaged”, it worked okay. Then recently, the rubber strap developed a tear. Not sure how. This wrench has a nice locking device for the strap inside the handle, so you just pull it snug, and then you are free to just rotate the wrench. Very good.

This 50 ft. 600-Volt locking extension cord is a 3-conductor, 12-gauge cord; it is UL listed and meets OSHA requirements. Twist-to-lock extension cords are designed for use in construction and industrial applications where extra protection and durability are needed. If you are reading this, I’m sure you are aware of the benefit of using a heavy-duty cord. The 12-gauge wires will minimize voltage drop which will protect your tool. I lost a body grinder years ago, which I suspect was due to having too small of an extension cord. After that, I bought a 12-gauge cord, which I’ve had for about 15 years. This new cord has a much thicker insulation, as the diameter of this cord is 0.550”, vs 0.375 for my older one. Not sure why the extra bulk. Keep in mind this cord uses the twist lock connector, which means your tools have to also have the same type of plug in. It’s a handy feature, which prevents the cord from accidently becoming unplugged, but definitely Read More

          Answer:
Yes, this will rust if left unprotected. Painting it will keep it from rusting. Aluminum would not rust, nor would Stainless Steel. Both are a lot more expensive. Stainless Steel is often much harder and more difficult to machine in a home workshop.

These questions only go to other customers who have the tool. I checked Home Depot's web site, and the link to order showed up on my computer. Also indicated they were on hand at a local Home Depot store. However, I see the Home Depot site indicates a new package is offered, this tool with a free battery, and they are currently unavailable.

          Answer:
I would not recommend it. I think it would be too tacky, and grab too quickly. I'd recommend painting the fiberglass with a high quality flat paint (perhaps oil base). Talk to the paint guys to see what they recommend for good adhesion. Once dry, the surface then should behave similar to a standard wall for applying wallpaper.
