This item is very pretty, and easy to install on the wall. However, the hooks were loose. But If I tightened them, the paper towel roll did not fit properly. Si I had to install it on the wall with the hooks loose, which I did not like. it also came with wooden "covers" for the screws, so you cannot see the screws like in the photo.

Yes, that is what I did. You just have to have enough clearance for the paper towel roll to fit.
