No, I do not recommend this product.
This GearWrench Ratcheting Flex Flare Nut Wrench Set is OK. It comes in a fitted plastic tray and includes 5 sizes (1/4 in. x 5/16 in. , 3/8 In. x 7/16 in. ½ in. x 9/16 in., 5/8 in. x 11/16 in., and ¾ in. x 7/8 in.). I have some regular old flare nut wrenches that I’ve had since I began working with A/C back in 1970. I use them for flare nuts, as well as compression fittings, with ease. At first glance, this GearWrench set looks like it would be great, but I’m really sure yet whether I like these wrenches. The flexible ends do help work around some obstacles. However, this feature makes them considerably longer than other flare nut wrenches, and the ends are much bulkier. At this point, the Read More

However, this feature makes them considerably longer than other flare nut wrenches, and the ends are much bulkier. At this point, the ratcheting ends seem to me to be more of a hassle to get on a fitting than standard flare nut wrench ends. Overall, these wrenches just seem awkward, and not really useful. After using them more, I might find that they’re better, but right now, not so great, especially at over $80.00. Read Less

The GearWrench 24-Piece Long Pattern Combination Non-Ratcheting Wrench Set, SAE/Metric features a full chrome polish finish for durability and corrosion resistance. Ratcheting box end increases productivity while reducing hand fatigue. The box end utilizes Surface drive technology which provides off-corner loading for better grip and reduced fastener rounding.

There’s not a whole lot to say about a wrench set, but this GearWrench 24 Piece Long Pattern Combination Wrench Set is a great addition to my tool chest. The set includes 9 SAE sizes (1/2 in. - 1 in.), and 15 Metric sizes (8 mm - 22 mm), and come in a fitted plastic tray to keep them organized. The open end has what GearWrench calls “Surface Drive Plus”, a good feature, which provides for a better grip and reduced fastener rounding. The offset 12- point box end grips fasteners extremely well. The finish is highly polished chrome which makes them easier to clean up. GearWrench introduced the original patented 5° ratcheting wrench in 1996 and quickly became a go-to brand for professional automotive technicians. The innovation didn't stop there. Year after year, the GearWrench brand continues to expand its line-in ratcheting tools and beyond-to help automotive and industrial technicians get their jobs done faster and easier. Having the right tool for the job is critical and technicians working in cramped spaces understand better than anyone the power of this simple statement. This wide range is the backbone that gives GearWrench its reputation for unprecedented speed, strength and access. The result is increased productivity for those who keep GearWrench tools in their box.

I really like this GearWrench ¼ in., 3/8 in., and ½ in. Drive Universal Joint and Adapter Set. It comes in a good plastic case, which conveniently keeps all my universals and adapters in one place. It includes the sizes most often needed in any shop: Chrome Universals - ¼” to 3/8” Drive; Impact Universals – ¼”, 3/8”, & ½ in Drive; Chrome Adapters - ¼” F - 3/8”M Drive, 3/8” F - 1/4” M Drive, ½” F - 3/8” M Drive, 3/8” F - ½” M Drive, ½” - ¾” M Drive. They all fit my ratchets and sockets well. This combination allows one to go either way, up or down drive size, with sockets, etc. Every one appears to very well-made. Anyone who does any mechanical work knows the need for adapters and universal joints - when you need them, you NEED them. While I have other, cheaper adapters and universal joints, some nearly 50 years old, I’m really glad to have this set.

The GearWrench 20-Piece SAE and Metric Stubby Combination Wrench Set comes in a blow molded tray for easy storage. The wrenches feature a full chrome polish finish for durability and corrosion resistance. This GearWrench 20 Piece SAE/Metric 12-Point Stubby Combination Wrench Set is really nice. The open end has what GearWrench calls “Surface Drive Plus" to provide for a stronger grip, more torque, and reduce fastener rounding. Basically, there is a small notch in each side of the jaw, which seems to help grab better. I think the photos below may make the notches visible.
I’m a DIY homeowner and don’t do a whole lot of wrench pulling anymore, but these wrenches will make some jobs with the vehicles, equipment, or whatever, much easier to perform. I think I can safely recommend these wrenches to anyone who does anything mechanically. And, they carry a lifetime warranty.

This is another great tool from Milwaukee. I’ve been wanting (needing) a good die grinder. This M12 FUEL Right Angle Die Grinder fits the bill well! It runs at 4 different speeds (10,000, 15,000, 20,000, and 24,500 RPM) which are easily set with the press of a button. These speeds allow it to be used on a variety of different materials, with commonly available burrs, points, stones, disks, etc., even buffing. And, of course, the speed can be controlled (within each set speed) with the trigger (which has a safety lockout lever as well). It comes with (2) 2.0Ah batteries, a 12V charger, collet wrenches, and a nice, fitted, zippered case. Its compact design allows it to be used in tighter spots Read More

It comes with (2) 2.0Ah batteries, a 12V charger, collet wrenches, and a nice, fitted, zippered case. Its compact design allows it to be used in tighter spots than other grinders. The right angle design makes it usable in situations where a straight shaft tool would be more difficult or awkward to use.
I recently replaced the deadbolt locks on my daughter’s outside yard gates with double keyed locks to keep the kids in and uninvited “guests” out. The holes in the frames were too small for the new bolts, so I used this die grander to enlarge those holes, using a ½ in. burr. The burr is intended to operate at 8,000 rpm, so it was easy to set the grinder at 10,000 rpm and control the speed a bit lower with the trigger. Worked great! Had the job done in very little time with almost no effort.
This die grinder far surpasses the usability of my ¼” straight shaft corded grinder and my ¼” pneumatic grinder. The corded one runs at 34,000 rpm which is far faster than most burrs, disks, etc. are designed to operate at. The pneumatic grinder requires more air volume than my current compressor is capable of producing. And, of course, to use either one of them requires dragging a cord or hose around, which makes some tasks more challenging.
Now I just have to “want” a straight, long shaft die grinder to match.

Hex bolts are hexagonal head fasteners with machine threads. They are commonly used for machinery and construction projects, both residential and commercial. Fully threaded sizes provide excellent grip strength. Partially threaded sizes help where shear resistance is important. Secure with a corresponding nut or use in a tapped (threaded) hole.

          Hey MtnMan,
The head marking on these bolt is ADC, which means nothing about the grade. That being said,, these are SAE Grade 1 low-carbon steel with no strength rating, or grade 2 low-carbon steel with a proof load of 55,000 psi, minimum tensile strength of 74,000 psi, and minimum yield strength of 57,000 psi. Hope this helps.
