The KitchenAid KHM512ER Ultra Power 5-Speed Hand Mixer, in Empire Red, features stainless-steel turbo beaters with no center posts to thoroughly mix ingredients with less batter build-up. Its motor is lightweight yet powerful and can handle tasks such as double batches of cookie dough. The hand mixer includes easy-slide speed controls, a comfort-designed handle and a lockable swivel cord.

Mixer was to replace a European brand (Bravetta) I have had for probably 15 years, but could no longer locate in U.S. I have had great success with large appliances from Kitchenaid. Find this mixer to be lightweight, powerful, and surprisingly quiet. The cord is a bit unwieldy, but am hoping with use, it will be more tractable. Have yet to use mixer on heavy cookie batters, which will be the real test, but it mashes potatoes well and whips cream quickly.
Pros: Easy to Use, Performs Well, Looks Great, Good Size & Weight, Easy to Clean, Reliable
