Recently needed to extend and irrigation run and borrowed a trench shovel from my old man. Vowed I'd get one of my own as it makes this type of project so much easier. Fast forward to now owning this shovel and fortunately for me it's much nicer than the one I borrowed. The handle is plenty strong, much thicker than many of my other garden tools. The spade is also thicker with zero flex and cuts right into our hard packed soil. Happy to add this to the tool shed and may need to gift one to my father down the road.

Good looking veneers with good pattern and color. A few small flaws that should smooth out with a little sanding. Even with the thinner plys I had a few edge sections with voids. Nothing that would impact the integrity but something to be aware of in the off chance your edges would be exposed. On the one pass at the table saw I used masking tape and a high tooth blade to keep chipping to a minimum. Same goes with jigsaw cuts and all went smooth. (literally and figuratively)

Nice looking veneers with good uniformity, pattern, and color. With this type of lamination I've never come across 100% clean layers and this panel is no exception. A few voids but nothing that's gong to ruin the integrity but you'll likely want to be aware if you have exposed edges. Cuts clean with a higher tooth blade (80 tooth) but I also used masking tape to double down on chipout protection.

Woof - I got a dud. After shaking the can I went to apply only to have a sputter of white powderish material come out and the nozzle instantly clog. I don't have any mineral spirits on hand so I would have soaked the nozzle immediately if possible. It's unfortunate as I had just used another can and can attest to the performance (when it works) It delivers a substantial amount of paint in a wide pattern. You could prime something like an interior door in probably 10 or less passes with full coverage, I was impressed. For this specific can, not so much.

Holy smokes I've never seen a spray can this size. To match the size it comes with an equally matched nozzle that throws down a 10" or more spread of paint. (Think a vertical line pattern almost like a chisel tip marker) You can apply a substantial amount of paint both in volume and coverage, it's awesome. This gray in particular had great coverage on the first pass right over a darker non finished plywood. Great stuff.

I've got my track mounted on a 1x4 board. With that I have about 1 7/8" clearance. I checked our Nest and it only sticks out 1 1/4", so with that combo you'd have no problem.

I'd hit up a outdoor gear retailer or online source and look for a ripstop patch kit. It's a strong fabric patch with either an adhesive backing or quick setting glue to secure it in place.

The grates do have pretty wide openings. There are certain spots my 1 qt saucepan will tip because it's not supported enough. It's a pretty small pot though and it's never happened while cooking. I could see if you carelessly placed it down or shoved it aside with another pot/pan it could happen, but outside of that scenario I wouldn't expect it to be an issue.
