I have a lot of concrete around my house – like pretty much all the way around it – with front and back patios and sidewalks that go all the way around the house but for one corner. My wife jokes that concrete is my favorite landscape material. And she is right. A drawback of this is it makes adding lighting after the fact near the house difficult. As it happens I have a number of sets of 12V landscape lights with transformers already installed and wire run. A couple years ago I added some small floods pointing down on the fence posts of the fence surrounding my back yard and back patio because I had no outdoor house lighting back there and this left some steps dark. The spotlights are OK but only OK so I was looking for a better solution. Then it occurred to me I could wire one of these post lights up to the landscape transformer and using 12v bulbs mount it to the top of one of my fence posts bordering the patio in the outside corner. I might have to beef up the transformer wattage at most but that is easy enough. It is a solution that provides good light without requiring any expensive wiring changes or work on my concrete. It is also an attractive solution so it gets wife approval. That is an important aspect of any project if you wish to only do it once. So this one is done. It took me about 30 minutes to get it installed and wired and most of that was drilling and running wire inside my post to protect it in the light base and doing some heat shrink on my wiring. Now it’s one more problem solved. The only thing I would change is the way the top fastens on. I like the design where the finial is the screw. This uses 2 pretty small screws to hold the top on and if you drop one of these in the grass finding it may be an adventure. But that is a rather small peeve and I won't be taking the top off very often so it is mostly inconsequential. So I did not knock off anything for this. Read Less
Pros: Easy to Assemble, Looks Great, attractive finish
Cons: small screws holding top on easy to loose

They come in several colors so I was able to get a color I like as should anyone whatever your preference given the number of color choices. The big advantages of course are they store well and don’t take up a lot of space while giving you that extra seating you can pull out when the crowd exceeds your normal seating capacity – be it indoors or outdoors. I considered the padded ones but opted for these because I think the metal will simply hold up better over time. I keep mine in my storage building when not in use. Granted this storage building has an HVAC system and is climate controlled and finished like a house inside down to the trim but I think these would hold up well in many environments as long as the humidity is reasonable. But they are metal so keep that in mind when storing them and protect them from moisture and they will last many years. Read Less

In the spring we typically dress up the front patio with potted palm trees in large pots and flowers around the outdoor seating and patio set. These thatch umbrellas really go great with the theme. I was skeptical when I first saw one of these but I have to admit I really like them up. There’s something nice about sitting under the umbrella in the spring with the thatch waving in a warm breeze. It’s a perfect place for a good nap. Of course now it is fall and the pots have been emptied and we've already had our first frost. So I'm looking forward to getting some use out of this mostly starting next spring. I put all this stuff up into storage for the winter. Read Less

Save time and effort by letting the Samsung POWERbot Pet Plus Robotic vacuum handle the vacuuming for you. The POWERbot delivers 40x more powerful cleaning on all floor types when compared to a conventional robot vacuum with a circular design. Self-Clean Soft Action Brush automatically detangles and removes pet hair around the brush while picking up fine dust. Nothing can hide from the Edge Clean Masters innovative rubber blade as it extends out to clean hard to reach areas like corners and along the edges of the wall. The POWERbot also features voice guide which gives you spoken updates on the vacuums status. Point Cleaning lets you simply point for on-demand vacuum cleaning of pet hair and dander while Wi-Fi Connectivity allows you to remotely control your robot vacuum on your smartphone or through voice enabled devices such as Bixby, Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant.

I’ve been looking around at robot vacuums besides the Roomba for a while because I wanted to try something else. I have 2 roombas and I have tried to make sense of the patterns they take and I use the term pattern in the very loosest way since I can discern no pattern. I have wood and tile floors throughout the house so the robot vacuums are a good solution for me. Two roombas is really not quite enough to do the whole house on one charge. I figure these have been out a while so perhaps there is something better. I like the bin design on this since it removes from the top as opposed to the side like the others I have. It looks to hold about the same amount but is easier to see if it is full. Read More

One thing I also like better is the hard floor brush that comes with this. It looks to be of a design that will be much less prone to getting a lot of hair tangled up in it. And sure enough after about an hour and a half run it did not need cleaning. I always have to get the tool out for the Roomba brush and go through the tedious process of cleaning the hair off it. So big plus here as it gets rid of this unpleasant chore. The Roomba has long bristles instead of this soft brush and it gets loaded with hair and is a bit of a job to clear every time. I know some have commented that this is quieter than the Roomba and maybe it is by some tiny amount but not much. They both are not pleasant to listen to if you are watching TV. They both clean the floor but the biggest plus here to me is not having to spend the time cleaning the vacuum after it cleans the floor. That partially defeats the purpose of a robot. The remote is a nice touch if you want to stop it since you can do that without chasing it down. There are a couple things that could be better. The base is pretty large and has a large external power brick on top of that. I just stuck the bring against the wall behind the dock. The other thing is the barrier which is an adhesive magnetic strip you stick on the floor. I’m not about to stick something on my floors I worked so hard to put in. I’ll just close doors and put up pet barriers which I already have. That part could really use some improvement and it is one area where the Roomba solution is a bit better. If it maintains as well as it has in my initial uses I’ll be very happy with it and see it as a bump up from the roombas. Time will tell if it is better enough to justify the cost differential. A lot hinges on how clean it stays but initial looks are good on that front. Read Less
Pros: Cleans Edges/Corners Well, Easy to Empty Filter, Easy to Use, remote is nice, good roller design-stays clean
Cons: expensive, dock and power brick could be better, the barrier system could be alot better

A few years ago I got tired of having to dispose of large grills once they ended their life. I’ve gone through many over time. While the grill I have still works it is starting to show some age so I started looking for a replacement. This one is just a little more than the Nexgrill I bought from HD a few years ago on sale. I like this one more for several reasons (1) I like the feet because they are rubber and thus grip the table well and do not make the grill stand up overly tall unlike the metal folding legs on the Nexgrill (2) This one has a temperature gauge in the lid while the other does not. (3) This one came with a hose that allows connection to a full size propane tank instead of the disposable bottles while I had to buy that extra for the Nexgrill if I recall correctly. (4) The cooking surface is a little bigger (5) and last but not least the burner shields are bigger so this one does not flame up anywhere near as much as the other which makes it easier and less hassle to cook with. We had some steaks cook on it just today and they came out perfect and were evenly cooked a nice medium so the heat was even. Both grills heat up extremely quickly compared to a large grill. I’d say easily 5 minutes or less after fire up you are ready to cook. That’s typical with a small grill like this in my experience. That is an advantage over a large grill. Another advantage is the only assembly is screwing on the 4 rubber feet. In minutes from unboxing you are grilling. Read Less
Pros: heats up very fast, very easy to move, does not flame up bad, basically no assembly but installing rubber feet

I don't really have much of a question just an amusing observation to pass along and since you can't modify reviews here it is.
I put this up a week ago and it is indeed really nice - large, solid, well finished and easy to open and close. Piece of cake to mount.
Today I had a post-it note left in the box with the days mail from the mail carrier lady. It said she loves this box !
It was kind of funny to see and I'm glad she likes it too. Obviously she appreciates a smooth opening and closing box.
I guess if you have to open and close them all day that would not go unnoticed. some certainly require more effort.

Has anyone else had a compliment from the mail carrier ?

Not sure if this is an electrical question or a mounting question so I'll attempt to touch on both. The casing looked a lot like my old lights down to the wrap around diffuser. This works out very well if you are replacing an old light because it makes them basically a drop in replacement. You have some choices on mounting. You can try to hit a truss or you can just use some mounting anchors. The ones that come with it are not great so you might want heavier ones. I happened to already have some heavier ones on hand that I used and they worked very well. I have no worries now about it falling. So I did not bother trying to hit a truss at both ends and just used the existing mounting holes in the light base rather than drill some at truss locations. To do that I just drilled a hole a bit smaller than the anchor and hammered the anchor into the drywall getting a very tight fit. I used some pan head screws and pre-started the screws at one end allowing me to slide it on those so one end was held while I worked the other end. If you try to pre-start the screws at both ends at once it can be hard to get everything to line up perfect. Doing one end then the other gives you more flexibility. (I put 2 of these up alone in a garage with 12 ft ceilings and did not struggle or strain.) After they are mounted you can always drill a hole and put a screw through into a truss for extra safety if you feel the need. I consdiered doing that but in the end opted not to because it was extremely solid with just the anchors I used. (again, I used heavy duty anchors) In terms of the wiring they wire just like any other fixture. If I recall they did come with the wago type wire nuts (push-in style) instead of the old traditional ones making connections easier. I had a 3-way switch so there were a few more wires to deal with than on simpler switch. But if I recall the wire nuts had enough positions to deal with the extra wires. The connections are color coded just like other light fixtures so the connections to be made will typically be obvious - especially if you are just replacing an old fixture. Just note how the old one was wired or better yet take a picture if in doubt and you can look back. Of course turn off the breaker before beginning work. All this stuff is covered in the instructions they come with. It's not hard. The only hard part is holding them overhead while marking where the anchors need to go. It helps to have 2 people for that job. I used a scaffold and a tool handle as a jack to hold one end while I did held the other. It can be done alone. It just requires a little more thinking ahead. You could also make a cardboard template of the base to get your anchors prepared if you do not want to hold up the light and mark the screw locations. I've had these up the better part of a year now and they are great. It was like installing a small sun in my garage. It was a little work swapping them out but worth it. Read Less

Of course it will depend on how your have your shelves spaced and what you mean by standard. I'm attaching some pictures that should give a good idea how many they will hold. I have my shelves spaced so that the openings are 21", 21" and 15" high. The containers I use are 19", 13" and 6.75" high and all about 2 ft deep. Answer:
the way the saw bolts on these is relatively standard. I'd think the saw would mount on any number f similar stands.
