The Husky Groove Joint Pliers Set includes one 10 in. and one 12 in. model. Also known as tongue and groove pliers, they are great for gripping irregularly shaped objects. They also work well for clamping materials and are commonly used for turning and holding nuts and bolts. An advantage to this design is that it can adjust to a number of sizes without the distance in the handle growing wider. These pliers offer long handles for increased leverage, with a comfort grip design so you can count on a safe, non-slip hold.

This is a nice set for the rate they sell for. I had just recently bought a 12 inch pair of the channel lock brand pliers from HD and I will say the precision of the fit on them is a small bit better but that difference comes at a cost. (This 2 pack is not much more than the one 12" pair of the others I bought) These are well made versatile tools with a ton of uses. I'm 4 days into putting up 50,000 Christmas lights and various forms and I've already had several uses for these where having something that opens wide like these do is great, I really like the grips on these. They seem like they'll stay put well for years to come. I'm very happy with these. I like the heavy rivet versus a nut Read More

I'd been looking at impact wrenches for a while. A little while back I bought a relatively cheap air driven 1/2" impact wrench and the quality of it was disappointing to say the least. I've had good experiences with Milwaukee tools so when I saw this one I decided it was indeed the way to go for me. I got the tool only here so I bought the battery and charger kit separately at the local HD getting the 5.0 battery for now. That seems to be plenty for my current needs but I'll likely grab a high demand battery later. The tool is compact compared to my older porter cable stuff. The batteries are more compact in particular as shown in one of my pictures. In tight spaces I suppose this might help. It probably won't make a big difference to me in most of my applications though. This tool has the pin instead of the ball and as a result it really holds the socket on the tool solidly. Of course the tradeoff is that it is harder to get off and I find I have to take a small screwdriver to push in the pin to remove the socket easily. But I don't see that as an issue for me. I'd rather have the socket stay in place solidly than be easy to pop off. For my use it beats the heck out of pulling around an air hose. When I popped open the battery I got it had about 1/3 charge out of the box. I tossed it on the charger and went and fired up the grill and cooked myself a steak and wolfed it down. By the time I was done with this small detour it had a full charge so that seemed pretty quick to me. Read Less

After getting the 15 inch version of this wrench a little while back I was really impressed with the quality of the tool. I really like the precision of the fit on these Milwaukee adjustable wrenches. So I got the other sizes as well replacing a selection of older crescent wrenches I had in my box. These are machined precisely enough that there is almost no slop when you set them. Thus the action on them during adjustment is smooth as well. They move around extremely little once set. I can't say zero but it is close enough to it for my use. And this makes the guides that every one has useful too since they are accurate enough that the size on the guide is meaningful and not just some vague Read More

The trouble with the old ones was due to the slop in the fit you were always loosening to get it off then tightening after going on the nut or bolt head. Without that slop that's less hassle and time and aggravation saved. All in all these are some pretty nice adjustable wrenches. Read Less

Does it come in other sizes ? I've been using the 12 inch one for about 6 months now and am very happy with the way it cooks and how well it is holding up to practically daily use. I would not mind buying a couple smaller ones as well like say a 10 inch and an 8 inch.

I don't really have much of a question just an amusing observation to pass along and since you can't modify reviews here it is.
I put this up a week ago and it is indeed really nice - large, solid, well finished and easy to open and close. Piece of cake to mount.
Today I had a post-it note left in the box with the days mail from the mail carrier lady. It said she loves this box !
It was kind of funny to see and I'm glad she likes it too. Obviously she appreciates a smooth opening and closing box.
I guess if you have to open and close them all day that would not go unnoticed. some certainly require more effort.

To make this a question and thus kosher to put here I ask the populace...
Has anyone else had a compliment from the mail carrier ?
          I'm just curious.
