The stand itself is very attractive, the only problem was when putting it together the next to the last step was to put the top of the stand on & only then did I notice little scratches on the surface. It went right from the box onto the carpeted floor in living room to be assembled where that could not have scratched it. Too much time and work went into putting it together to then return it so just getting a stain stick to try and cover up the scratches.
