These dark shapes on white fields are a great example of how art strives to change the way we view everyday things and divine new insight from them. Though at first they seem like crystal structures, these are in fact radiographic images of flowers, revealing through transparency a new complexity and beauty. The African bluebell seen from above looks almost like a snowflake, with a natural symmetry at play as each individual flower reaches out in a circle. Were treated to a glimpse of how the roses petals are arrayed in concentric circles, smaller petals waiting for their larger siblings to unfold so the flowers true form can emerge.
